Mandalika Rain Shaman Reports Online Critic to Police
jpnn.com, LOMBOK - Damai Santoso, a.k.a Amaq Daud, has made a police report because he couldn't stand being made fun of on social media.
The resident of Sangkung hamlet, Bangket Parak village, was a rain shaman and was associated with the 2021 World Superbike event at the Mandalika Circuit.
Like a common rain shaman, Damai was believed to be able to block the rain from falling or at least move the rain to another place so that it doesn't fall in the desired location.
However, in reality, heavy rains flushed the circuit area and its surroundings during the WSBK event.
In one of the uploads by internet user @leekuwangso, Damai was criticized. The account uploaded a photo of Damai flooded with negative comments.
Many commenters later uploaded a photo of Damai with President Joko Widodo.
Damai then chose the legal route to solve the issue. He reported the account to the Central Lombok Police, Monday (22/11).
Damai considered that the account had defamed him.
