World Superbike at Mandalika Postponed Due to Heavy Rain
jpnn.com, LOMBOK - Bad weather has halted the World Superbike (WSBK) event at the Mandalika Circuit in Lombok, Saturday afternoon. The Race 1 is being postponed until Sunday (21/11).
The drivers who had been on the grid for the start were forced to return to the paddock after heavy rains hit.
The organizers planned to continue the race after the rain, but the track was not ready.
They finally decided to cancel all remaining activities today, namely Race 1 of the WSBK and Race 3 of the Idemitsu Asia Talent Cup (IATC).
The IATC will continue on Sunday, preceded by a warm up session.
In addition to Race 2 of the WSBK, the World Supersport (WorldSSP) will also be held on Sunday.
In the WSBK event, Turkish racer Toprak Razgatlioglu is trying to lock the first world title in his career.
The Pata Yamaha with Brixx WSBK racer scores the fastest time of 1:32.877, which becomes a new record for the Mandalika Circuit, when the other riders are unable to penetrate 1 minute 33 seconds.
