Mandalika Rain Shaman Reports Online Critic to Police
Regarding the photo with the President, Damai admitted that he had been asked for help as a rain shaman not for the WSBK event but at the arrival of President Jokowi.
"There are words that defame me, saying 'the traditional rain controller not working at #WorldSBK, the first race was not working'. Attached is a photo of me with President Joko Widodo when he arrived on Friday," said Damai, when met at the Central Lombok Police.
He considered that the other party had dropped his self-esteem and has insulted, harassed, and damaged his name.
He said that he and his family were never invited by the ITDC or the MGPA to be a rain shaman during the WSBK, except when the President arrived at the Mandalika Circuit.
"Several times the President came, thank God there was never any rain,” said Damai.
He regretted commenters circulated the photo of him when the president arrived instead of a photo during the WSBK event last weekend when the rain actually fell.
A member of the Central Lombok Police, Second Inspector Supardi, said they had received the report and was currently following it up.
"We have received the report. We just need to follow it up and deliver it to the leadership," said Supardi. (met/mcr20/radarlombok)
