Tourist Killed by Waves While Taking Selfies, Guide Missing

The victim, who was unable to swim well, shouted for help.
Ifriani and the guide Putu tried to help, but Putu was also swept away by the current.
At around 5.30 p.m., the victim was seen floating lifeless.
Several residents then evacuated the victim.
"We then deployed a rigid inflatable boat to Kelingking Beach at 6.40 p.m., but because the waves were too big, the evacuation process was difficult. We finally decided to evacuate by land," said Gede.
Darmada said they could only evacuated the body of the victim to the top of the cliff early in the morning due to the the climbing terrain.
"The victim was evacuated to the Nusa Penida Pratama Hospital, while the search efforts for Putu continue on Monday," said Gede. (bhi/mcr20/jpnn)
