Tai Tzu Ying to Face Akane Yamaguchi in BWF Championships Finals
jpnn.com, HUELVA - Taiwanese badminton player Tai Tzu Ying could not hide her joy after defeating Chinese representative He Bing Jiao in the semifinals of the 2021 BWF World Championships.
Tai Tzu Ying won the rubber game over He Bing Jiao with a score of 21-17, 13-21, and 21-14 within 57 minutes in the match that took place in Huelva, Spain, Saturday (18/12).
After the match, the 2020 Tokyo Olympic silver medalist said she felt optimistic going to the finals after defeating a tough player of He Bing Jiao's caliber.
"I feel good going to the finals. Everything will seem to be going well after this victory," she said.
He Bing Jiao, on the other hand, was still proud of the achievements she had made.
"I haven't seen Tai Tzu Ying in a very long time. I'm still happy with this achievement," she said.
Victory over He Bing Jiao brought Tai Tzu Ying to the finals to take on Japanese hero Akane Yamaguchi.
In the semifinals, Akane managed to beat Zhang Yi Man from China in two straight games with an identical score of 21-19, 21-19 in 44 minutes.
