Crushed by Munich, Barcelona Pack Suitcase from Champions League
Kingsley Coman's bait on the right side of the Barcelona defense was greeted by Jamal Musiala's header. Unfortunately, the ball was too weak, so it was easily secured by Barca goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen.
Continuing to lock up the Barca defense, Munich finally opened the tap on 32'. Robert Lewandowski, who escaped from Pique's control, launched a measured pass.
The ball was then met with Thomas Muller's header that thrilled Barca's net. Goal! Munich lead 1-0.
It was Muller's 50th goal in the Champions League. He became the first German player to reach this figure.
Three minutes before the dispersal, Munich doubled their advantage after Leroy Sane's shot could not be blocked by Ter Stegen. Munich was leading 2-0.
The score turned out to last until halftime.
Entering the second half, Barca played under pressure.
The hosts even increased the advantage to 3-0 through a goal scored by Jamal Musiala after maximizing Alphonso Davies' sweet pass.
Barcelona had to leave the 2021/22 Champions League early after losing to Bayern Munich on the last matchday of the group stage.
