Anders Antonsen Rages, Taiwan's Champion Becomes Victim
jpnn.com, BALI - Danish badminton player Anders Antonsen has eliminated Wang Tzu Wei from Taiwan in the top 16 of the 2021 Indonesia Open.
Competing at the Bali International Convention Center, Thursday (25/11), Antonsen needed three games to win with a score of 18-21, 21-13, and 21-14 within 1 hour 44 minutes.
In the first game, Wang appeared more pressing. Antonsen was overwhelmed and fell behind 4-7.
The Taiwanese player had the upper hand after closing the first interval with an 11-9 advantage.
After the break, the depressed Antonsen often made his own mistakes. Wang used this to keep away until 18-15.
Antonsen, who is the third seed at the 2021 Indonesia Open, was forced to give up 18-21 in the first game.
Entering the second game, Antonsen was still having trouble serving Wang's attacking game.
Wang, the world number 11 single, continued to play Antonsen's defense with hard smashes.
