Carlos Fortes Back to Indonesia with Bigger Motivation
jpnn.com, MALANG - Arema FC now can fully focus on preparing for the third series of League 1 upon the return of their foreign striker, Carlos Fortes.
The 27-year-old player started training at Brawijaya Field on Monday (15/11).
Fortes was seen quite happy to be able to feel the atmosphere after returning from Portugal.
"Right now and going forward, I'm focused on looking at the next game in the competition," said Fortes, citing the team's website.
He also claimed to have more motivation after being able to meet his family, although it was quite a short homecoming.
"After meeting my family, I'm more motivated. For me, family is the most important thing. In the future, there will be no problems, I'm more focused and excited," he said.
Fortes is predicted to be the backbone of the front sector of the team, nicknamed Singo Edan.
Of Arema FC's 16 goals, Fortes scored six. He is also quite active in assisting.
