Pontianak Sultana Allegedly Ill-treated, Reports to Police
jpnn.com, PONTIANAK - Maha Ratu Mas Mahkota Sati Nina Widiastuti, the wife of Sultan IX of the Kadariah Sultanate of Pontianak, is said to have been dragged and ill-treated by a number of individuals.
She has reported to the Pontianak Police about the alleged incident.
"It's true, we have received a report of alleged abuse reported by a victim named Nina," said Pontianak Police criminal investigation unit head Adjutant Commissioner Indra Asrianto.
Following up on the report, Indra said that the police had started conducting an investigation.
"The victim has been questioned and a medical examination has been carried out," he said.
The incident began when Nina heard about the coronation of Tanaya Ahmad as the new Sultana on Sunday (31/10).
Not accepting the plan, Nina then went to the coronation ceremony.
"I am still the legal wife and I did not accept that Tanaya Ahmad was to be crowned. I feel that I am still the legal wife of Sultan IX," said Nina.
