jpnn.com, JAKARTA - National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo has shown his commitment to making improvements within the force as he does not hesitate to remove his subordinates who are considered unable to manage their personnel in the field.

Recently, the number one person in the Bhayangkara Corps removed seven police officers at once in several areas, including six regional police chiefs.

National Police spokesman Inspector General Raden Prabowo Argo Yuwono said that this removal was to show Listyo's commitment to carry out internal police improvements, starting with the change of unit leadership.

"If the leader has problems, the subordinates will have problems too and the spirit of the Precision concept [weakens]. This commitment is clearly to make changes and improvements towards a much better police force," said Argo in a press release, Monday (1/11).

With this decision, all police personnel must be able to have a leadership spirit that prioritizes, protects, and serves the community and other members well.

Argo also hoped that this commitment could have a deterrent effect for any police personnel violating the rules.

"Be a leader who is exemplary, wise, understanding, willing to listen, not easily emotional, and respectful of each other. That way, the police will gain more trust in the community," said Argo.
