Students, Workers Block Roads During Youth Pledge Day
jpnn.com, MAKASSAR - A number of students and workers in Makassar, South Sulawesi, blocked roads to commemorate the Youth Pledge Day, October 28.

From field observations, participants performed road blockade on Jalan Andi Pangeran Pettarani, Jalan Sultan Alauddin, Jalan Urip Sumoharjo, and others, Thursday (28/10).
The blockade on Jalan Sultan Alauddin lasted until evening.
Some of the protesters were members of the Gowa Raya branch of the Islamic Student Association (HMI).
They demanded that the government solved a number of issues immediately.
"As shown by an internal study of the Gowa Raya Branch of HMI, the existing regulations no longer speak, nor are they applied," said protester Nur Ikram Nika.
They demanded the government to realize a just law, reject the plan to amend the 1945 Constitution, reject the Omnibus Law, revoke Law No. 19 of 2019, stop repressive actions, and refuse the abolition of subsidized fuel.
