jpnn.com, JAKARTA - The social media account of the founder of the Indonesian People's Da'wah Party (PDRI), Farid Ahmad Okbah, remained active after he was arrested by the National Police's anti-terrorism squad (Densus 88), Tuesday (16/11).

According to Densus 88 operational assistance head Senior Commissioner Aswin Siregar, the Instagram account @faridokbah_official was active because it was managed by an admin.

"The @faridokbah_official account belonging to Farid Ahmad Okbah is managed by an admin," Aswin said when confirmed in Jakarta, Wednesday (17/11).

Farid was one of three alleged terrorists arrested by Densus 88 in the Bekasi area. The other two were Ahmad Zain An-Nazah, who was a member of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI), and Anung Al Hamat. They were reportedly linked to activities of the JI terrorist network in Bekasi.

Farid was also a board member of a charitable foundation established for JI funding.

All three have now been named as suspects and are undergoing further investigation.

Farid's account still uploaded posts and stories on the day of the arrest and after the arrest.

There were more than a dozen of story uploads within a few hours, containing da'wah messages. It also shared a news link regarding the arrest of Farid. (antara/mcr20/jpnn)
