MUI Member Among Suspected Terrorists Arrested by Densus 88
jpnn.com, BEKASI - The National Police's counter-terrorism squad (Densus 88) arrested three suspected terrorists from the Jamaah Islamiyah (JI) group in Bekasi, West Java, Tuesday (16/11).
The suspected terrorists included AA (44), a lecturer who was arrested on Tuesday morning at his residence on Jalan Raya Legok, Pondok Melati, Bekasi.
Another suspect, identified with the initials FAO, was arrested in Jati Melati village, Bekasi.
The other suspect, identified with the initials AZ (50), was arrested in the Merbabu Raya area, Pondok Melati, Bekasi.
AZ was later known to be Ahmad Zain An-Najah, a member of the Central Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) Fatwa Commission.
Meanwhile, AA was identified as Anung Al Hamat, while FAO was Farid Okbah.
National Police spokesman Senior Commissioner Ahmad Ramadhan confirmed the arrest.
"Three were arrested," said Ramadhan when met at the South Jakarta Police Headquarters, Tuesday.
