Deddy Corbuzier Calls for Death Sentence Against Pesantren Rapist

jpnn.com, JAKARTA - Indonesian presenter Deddy Corbuzier has commented on the recent alleged incident of a pesantren (Islamic boarding school) teacher molesting a dozen of underage female students in Bandung, West Java.

According to Deddy, the perpetrator is a psychopath who does not deserve to be imprisoned or castrated.

"If this person is castrated, it doesn't mean his behavior isn't getting more violent. Maybe, after that, he becomes more violent. If Herry is put in prison, I don't know what he'll do to other people in prison," said Deddy in his vlog on YouTube, Saturday (11/12).

The former magician believed that the pesantren teacher should be sentenced to death.

"People like this should be sentenced to death. Human rights are human rights," he said.

Deddy emphasized that it was his personal opinion.

Herry Wirawan was the caretaker and Qur'an teacher at a pesantren in Bandung.

He was accused of molesting 12 female students, some of whom became pregnant and gave birth to his children. (ded/mcr20/jpnn)
