Indonesia Beats Laos in AFF Cup, Prepares to Face Vietnam
jpnn.com, SINGAPORE - The Indonesian national soccer team managed to beat Laos 5-1 in the 2020 AFF Cup at Bishan Stadium, Singapore, Sunday (12/12) evening.
After the match, coach Shin Tae Yong expressed his appreciation to his players.
According to the South Korean man, the Garuda squad played a good game to have a landslide victory over Laos.
"Thank you to the players. They worked hard and prepared well for this match so that they got the maximum result," he said at a press conference after the match.
The Indonesian national team won six points from the two matches played, but Shin Tae Yong hoped that his players would not be complacent.
He asked his team to prepare more thoroughly for the remaining two matches in the group phase against Malaysia and Vietnam.
"Players must prepare more optimally and better to face Vietnam and Malaysia," said the former South Korean national team coach.
Indonesia will undergo the third match of Group B of the 2020 AFF Cup against Vietnam on December 15 at Bishan Stadium.
