Ducati Cargo Unboxing Incident: Police Chief Chimes in
jpnn.com, NUSA TENGGARA BARAT - West Nusa Tenggara Police chief Inspector General Mohammad Iqbal has responded to the unboxing incident involving a cargo containing a Ducati Panigale V4 R motorbike by a member of the organizing committee of the Mandalika Grand Prix Association (MGPA).
Iqbal said that in response to the incident, the police had further enhanced security coordination with the organizing committee responsible for the racing area and circuit.
"We have asked the MGPA and Dorna Sports to verify the incident," said Iqbal in Mataram, Thursday (11/11).
Iqbal said that based on information from the organizers, no items were lost from the action.
"So, actually, there was no security disturbance there - only miscommunication. Dorna and the MGPA are coordinating, it's clear," said the two-star general.
Iqbal regretted that the incident had taken place and said that it was beyond the control of the authorities.
In fact, 58 Mobile Brigade (Brimob) personnel from the West Nusa Tenggara Police have been on full alert starting a month ago.
The police take the incident as an evaluation material to further improve fieldwork, including coordination with the organizing committee and its members responsible for security in the racing area and circuit.
