Visit Preston Headquarters, Liverpool Appear With Different Face
jpnn.com, INGGRIS - Liverpool will meet Preston North End in the top 16 of the English League Cup, Thursday (28/10) early morning Indonesian time.
Ahead of the meeting against the Championship team, the Reds are in high confidence after beating Manchester United 5-0 in the last Premier League match.
Liverpool are predicted to only play second-tier resources when competing at the Deepdale Stadium.
It was revealed by Liverpool assistant coach Pepijn Lijnders that they would rest a number of their core players.
Even so, victory remains a fixed price for the Reds.
"We want to show how we play, set the tempo with the mentality we have," said Lijnders reported by the club's official website.
"We have prepared everything. We will do a refresher by giving other players a chance to rest. You know we have just finished a tough match."
Players, such as Divock Origi, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, and Takumi Minamino, may appear as starters when Liverpool meet Preston.
