"They have partners in Nabire, and the case is still being investigated," said Novianto.

He also said that of the six foreigners arrested, only three had passports. Meanwhile, the rest admitted that their passports were kept by their sponsor.

They entered Indonesia through Soekarno-Hatta Airport separately.

Tan Liguo had entered the country since May 12, 2018, using a visa on arrival that was valid for only 30 days. Therefore, apart from being deported, Tan is also banned from entering Indonesia.
