Former Garut Regent Agus Hamdani Passes Away
jpnn.com, GARUT - Former Garut regent Agus Hamdani died of illness in Garut regency, West Java, Thursday (11/11) early morning.
Current Garut Regent Rudy Gunawan representing the Garut administration expressed his condolences for the death of the senior United Development Party (PPP) politician, who had served as the deputy chairman of the Garut Legislative Council (DPRD).
"On behalf of the Garut administration, I express my deepest condolences for the departure of Pak Agus Hamdani. He was the 25th regent of Garut and the deputy chairman of the Garut DPRD," said Rudy through a press release.
Rudy said that he and Agus were close friends.
Moreover, Agus was a regional head that helped build Garut.
"Hopefully, he died khusnul khotimah [with blessings ahead], and the family left behind will find peace," Rudy said.
A colleague of the deceased, Slamet, said that before he died, Agus had felt short of breath at his home in Balubur Limbangan district, Wednesday (10/11) night.
Then, he said, Agus was unconscious.
