Man With Mental Disorder in Cengkareng Beats Mom to Death

jpnn.com, CENGKARENG - A man with the initials AB (36), who reportedly suffered from a mental disorder, has abused his biological mother to death in a settlement in the Cengkareng area, West Jakarta, Friday (29/10).

The police are currently investigating the case.

Cengkareng Police Chief Adjunct Commissioner Endah Pusparini said that the perpetrator was suspected of hitting his mother, identified with the initials EK (72), because he had not taken sedatives.

"Information from the community unit pointed to the fact that he had just returned from the Grogol Hospital, and he had not taken any medicine. So, because of that, his blood pressure was high and became angry," said Endah.

The incident happened when a member of the neighborhood unit came to the victim's house to provide counseling at 7 a.m. However, no one answered the door.

A few hours later, the perpetrator reported to residents that his mother had fallen in the bathroom.

When residents approached, the mother was already lying stiff in the bathroom with several wounds all over her body.

The police immediately went to the crime scene and arrested AB as a suspect.
