The Abu Dhabi Dialogue ministerial forum is a regular meeting every 2 years.

This year, it was held by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as the chair in a hybrid manner.

Two years ago, the consultation forum was chaired by Sri Lanka, while the chair for the next 2 years will be Pakistan.

Ida proposed four things that sending and receiving countries needed to agree together in order to achieve safe and fair migration.

First, the countries should encourage improvement of working conditions for female migrant workers.

Second, they should share labor market information and encourage skills recognition.

Third, they should encourage the use of technology in the fast, transparent, accountable and safe management of the placement and migration of migrant workers.

Fourth, they should encourage the development of international management related to migration by involving all stakeholders from countries of origin, countries of transit, and countries of destination.
