Erick Thohir Reports Garuda to AGO for Alleged Corruption
"We are synchronizing the data, and we hope that it will not only be for Garuda but other state companies as well," said Burhanuddin.
More than 470 creditors have filed a debt collection claim of up to US$13.8 billion (Rp 198 trillion) against Garuda.
Garuda submitted a proposal to reduce liabilities by more than 60 percent from US$9.8 billion to US$3.7 billion.
The proposal aimed at helping the company survive the Covid-19 pandemic, which has lasted for about two years.
Previously, former Garuda Indonesia commissioner Peter Ghonta disclosed various problems within the company, which he said he had reported to a number of institutions, including the Law and Human Rights Ministry and the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).
He opened up about issues related to groups in power, the difference in the price of the Boeing 777-300ER aircraft rental, and the purchase of the CRJ1000 aircraft. (antara/mcr20/jpnn)
