jpnn.com, BALI - President Joko Widodo has asked National Police chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo to make sure all regional police chiefs in Indonesia to safeguard all existed or on-process investments.

He also asked Listyo to even replace those who could not fulfill such assignment.

"I've also instructed the National Police chief to warn regional police chiefs," said Jokowi in Badung Regency, Bali, Friday (12/3).

"If you can't oversee, you can't solve things related to the big agenda of our country, sorry, you will be replaced," Jokowi continued.

On that occasion, Jokowi asked the National Police to guard and maintain all matters related to investments in the country.

According to Jokowi, the engine of national economic growth is investments, not the state budget.

This year, he said, the country's investment target reached Rp 900 trillion. In 2022, Jokowi continued, the target would be Rp 1,200 trillion.

According to him, the state budget only affects approximately 18 to 15 percent of Indonesia's economic growth.

President Joko Widodo has asked National Police chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo to make sure regional police chiefs in Indonesia to safeguard investments.
