2 Killed, 4 Injured in Idaho Shopping Mall Shooting
jpnn.com, AMERIKA - Two people were killed and four others, including a police officer, were injured in a shooting at a shopping mall in Boise, Idaho, on Monday (25/10).
Authorities said a suspect had been taken into custody.
Boise Police chief Ryan Lee said police were responding to reports of a shooting at the Boise Towne Square mall shortly before 2 p.m. local time (Tuesday, 3 a.m. West Indonesian time).
Officers who visited the scene found someone who matched the suspect's description.
A shootout with the suspect left an officer injured and the suspect arrested, the police chief said.
"We believe there was only a single shooter involved, and there is no ongoing threat to the community at large," Lee said.
The police did not provide any other information about the suspect and the identity of the victims.
Lee also declined to elaborate on the chronology of the shooting and said he could not reveal the suspect's motive.
