Under the decree, which takes effect on Tuesday (21/12), Israeli citizens must first obtain special permits if they wish to fly to the US.

In its first rapid treatment of Omicron, which was first detected in southern Africa as well as Hong Kong, Israel has barred the arrival of foreigners starting November 25.
