German Boy With Lego Gun Triggers Massive Police Operation
english.jpnn.com, BERLIN - A teenage boy in southern Germany sparks a large-scale police operation after a restaurant owner mistook the toy gun he was carrying for a real gun.
A witness sounded the alarm after seeing the 15-year-old boy, dressed in camouflage and holding a rifle-like object, running around on a street in the southern German city of Lindau.
"Of course, we had to move immediately," a Lindau police officer told the Lindauer Zeitung.
Media reports point out that federal police and several patrol cars were deployed.
The unidentified child was found holding a toy gun made of Lego blocks, not a real weapon. He has faced a legal charge. (ant/dil/mcr20/ jpnn)
