jpnn.com, JAKARTA - Deputy Secretary General of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI), Muhammad Ziyad, has condemned YouTube content creators who "summoned the spirit" of Vanessa Angel after her traggic death.

He admitted that he was concerned and regretted that there were individuals that created such content.

"Such content does not educate and at the same time destroys the unity of our society," said Ziyad when contacted by the media, Sunday (7/11).

According to Ziyad, we should only pray for those that have passed away and support the bereaved families.

"We should not actually make content of summoning the spirits. That is certainly against the teachings of Islam," said Ziyad.

Vanessa and her husband, Febri Andriansyah, died in a car accident on the Jombang toll road on Thursday (4/11) afternoon.

In the incident, the celebrity couple died on the spot, while their son Gala Sky, babysitter Siska Lorensa, and driver Tubagus Joddy were injured.

The bodies of Vanessa and Febri were buried at the Malaka Islamic Cemetery, Pesanggrahan, South Jakarta, Friday (5/11). (mcr7/mcr20/jpnn)
