Musician, Activist Melanie Subono Shocked After Uterus Removal
jpnn.com, JAKARTA - Musician and activist Melanie Subono said she was shocked to find out that she no longer had a uterus.
Previously, Melanie had surgery to remove her uterus due to her illness.
"I felt like I just got slapped yesterday afternoon when I saw the ultrasound and it was completely empty," said Melanie in the Lebak Bulus area, South Jakarta, Tuesday (2/11).
Melanie admitted that she was in tears when she realized that she would not be able to get pregnant.
"I was not crying because of the surgery or anything. I've been told, but now it's confirmed," she added.
The celebrity, who was born on October 20, 1976, said that the doctor had long discussed the condition of her uterus and the possibility that she would not be able to have children.
"I can't have children now. Yesterday afternoon, I just accepted it, and I just processed it all," Melanie said.
However, she said she was grateful to have family and friends who always supported her and be by her side.
