World Events to Be Held in Bali, Proof We Can Control Covid-19: BNPB
jpnn.com, BALI - A number of world events will be held in Bali in the midst of the increasingly sloping Covid-19 trend in Indonesia.
Among them are the Masters Super 750 badminton championships and the 2021 Indonesia Open in November 2021, as well as the BWF World Tour Finalists in December 2021, the convention on the dangers of mercury is titled "COP-4 Minamata Convention" in March 2022, and the G-20 Summit in October 2022.
The hectic agenda in Bali pushed the National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) to prepare strategies for preventing Covid-19 transmission during the events.
"We must be able to prove to the world that Indonesia is capable of carrying out the events while still paying attention to health procedures and protocols according to World Health Organization (WHO) standards," said BNPB head Ganip Warsito in Gianyar regency, Bali.
Ganip added that Indonesia should be grateful that the Covid-19 pandemic was more controlled than several other countries.
The main strategy for preventing the Covid-19 from pandemic to become an endemic is with a strong implementation of health protocols and a wide vaccination coverage, according to him.
