jpnn.com, BALI - The 2021 BWF World Tour Finals concludes the series of events for the 2021 Indonesia Badminton Festival (IBF), which was held since November 16.

Previously, there were already two tournaments completed at the 2021 IBF, namely the 2021 Indonesia Masters (November 16-21) and the 2021 Indonesia Open (November 23-28).

The BWF World Tour Finals, with a total prize of US$1.5 million, ended on Sunday (5/12).

South Korea came out as the overall champion.

Badminton players from the Ginseng country won two titles in the categories of women's doubles and women's singles.

In the women's doubles sector, Kim Soyeong and Kong Heeyong managed to climb to the highest podium after defeating Nami Matsuyama and Chiharu Shida from Japan, with an identical score of 21-14, 21-14 in 44 minutes.

As for the women's singles number, An Seyoung ordained herself to be the best after beating Indian badminton queen Pusarla V. Sindhu with a score of 21-16, 21-12 in 39 minutes.

An Seyoung recorded a hat-trick at the IBF 2021 as the 19-year-old badminton player had also stolen the Indonesia Masters and Indonesia Open trophies.
