Lee Zii Jia Destroys Toma Junior Popov in Less Than One Hour
jpnn.com, BALI - Malaysian men's singles badminton player Lee Zii Jia has not encountered any obstacles at the 2021 BWF World Tour Finals.
Competing in the second match of Group B at the Bali International Convention Center, Thursday (2/12), Zii Jia won two straight games against Toma Junior Popov with a score of 21-13 and 21-19 in just 47 minutes.
In this match, Zii Jia appeared dominant since the first game. The second seeded player from the neighboring country could win with a score of 21-13.
Zii Jia admitted to implementing several new strategies in today's match so that his game could be explosive from the start.
"I'm happy with today's victory, playing with the desired strategies. The results have been positive," said Zii Jia after the match.
In the second game, the 2021 All England champion was seen getting tough resistance from Toma Junior Popov.
