Lombok Policeman Murdered Own Colleague, Motive Unknown
As soon as he arrived at the victim's house, the policeman found Khairul was covered in blood and lifeless.
The colleague immediately reported the incident to his superior, the police chief.
MN was on duty at the Wanasaba Police, East Lombok Regency. He was suspected of murdering Khairul using a long-barreled firearm.
An initial investigation found that MN allegedly took the firearm from his place of duty secretly without the knowledge or permission of his superiors.
The use of the rifle should be with the permission of the leadership because it is a police inventory.
"Because it is in the police station, its use must be approved by the police chief," Herman said.
A crime scene examination found that Khairul was dead at around 11.20 a.m. local time, about four hours after his body was discovered.
An autopsy at the Mataram Bhayangkara Hospital showed the victim was killed by a gunshot to his right chest.
A police member in Lombok, Chief Brigadier MN, shot and killed his fellow police officer First Brigadier Khairul Tamimi.
