jpnn.com, JAKARTA - Three members of the military, who allegedly hit dead a couple and discarded their bodies far away from the scene, are charged with premeditated murder, along with other counts, according to Indonesian Military (TNI) Commander General Andika Perkasa.

"I ordered investigators and the TNI Inspector General to carry out the legal process," Andika said, Saturday (12/25).

According to the former Army Chief of Staff, the three alleged perpetrators have violated Article 181 of the Criminal Code concerning the concealment of corpses, Article 338 concerning murder, and Article 340 concerning premeditated murder.

They are also charged with Article 310 of Law No. 22/2009 concerning highway traffic and transportation.

The three alleged perpetrators were also dismissed from military service, said Andika.

Handi Saputra (17) and Salsabila (14) were crashed by a black Panther car in Nagreg, Bandung, West Java. Their bodies were found dead in the Cilacap and Banyumas areas, Central Java, near the Serayu River, a week after the collision.

The autopsy showed that Handi was still alive when he was thrown into the river. This was known from the victim's lungs that were full of water and sand.

On the other hand, Salsa died shortly after the accident, as evidenced by severe injuries to her head and lower skull fractures. (ast/mcr20/jpnn)
