"I express my gratitude and high appreciation for PLN for providing free electricity to people in border areas who have longed for it," Belu Regent Agustinus Taolin said in Kupang, Wednesday (22/12).

With the presence of electricity, the people who lived on the veranda of the country could welcome Christmas and New Year with joy, he said.

PLN NTT general manager Agustinus Jatmiko said that PLN's presence in the border areas was in accordance with President Joko Widodo's direction to build Indonesia from the front porch.

The provision of free electricity is part of PLN's social and environmental responsibility (TJSL) program through the One Man One Hope (OMOH) initiative.
