jpnn.com, JAKARTA - The national Covid-19 task force has asked churches to form their own task force to regulate health protocols during physical worship on Christmas.

This effort should be made to prevent the increase in Covid-19 cases during the year-end holiday.

"Ahead of 2021 Christmas, the government requires churches to immediately form a Covid-19 task force as a condition for doing physical worship," said spokesperson Wiku Adisasmito through the National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) YouTube account.

Wiku said that members of the church task force should consist of administrators, fellowship officials, behavior change ambassadors, and volunteers.

After the task force is formed, it should immediately carry out a systematic monitoring and evaluation plan for compliance with health protocols.

Wiku also asked congregations not to be careless and continue to apply strict health protocols in every activity.

This is especially because the Omicron Covid-19 variant has arrived in Indonesia. (tan/mcr20/jpnn)
