jpnn.com, JAKARTA - Edwin Riduan, one of the notary suspects in the land mafia case reported by Nirina Zubir, surrendered himself to the Jakarta Police, Tuesday (23/11).

Edwin previously tried to escape when the police made a forced arrest after he and Ina Rosaina were absent from the summons for questioning as suspects, Monday (22/11).

Arriving at the police station at 12.16 p.m., Edwin was seen wearing a white shirt, accompanied by the chairman of the Association of Land Deed Makers (IPPAT), Hapendi Harahap.

They entered the General Criminal Investigation Directorate building without uttering a word.

Head of Sub-Directorate of Criminal Investigation Senior Adjutant Commissioner Petrus Silalahi said Edwin surrendered after receiving an appeal from the Jakarta Police.

"Then, through IPPAT chairman Hapendi Harahap, he called us to surrender," said Petrus when contacted.

Petrus said that the police did not have too much trouble hunting down Edwin for arrest.

"He has been taken to a room for further investigation," said Petrus.
