153 Grams of Crystal Meth from Malaysia Seized
jpnn.com, KOLAKA - The Kendari administration, the Customs and Excise, together with the National Narcotics Agency (BNN), have seized a narcotics package weighing 153 grams of crystal meth in Kolaka, Southeast Sulawesi.
Head of Kendari Customs Office Purwatmo Hadi Waluja said the item was initially smuggled in a package that also contained clothes to trick officers.
"We received information that a package was sent from Malaysia to Kolaka, allegedly containing meth," said Purwatmo in a press release, Wednesday (27/10).
The office then coordinated with the Regional Narcotics Agency (BNNP) in South Sulawesi and forwarded the information to Kendari Customs.
Subsequently, a joint team from the Customs Office and the BNNP arrested the recipient of the meth in Kolaka.
The perpetrator admitted that he was asked by someone else to get the package.
The team then conducted a further investigation.
After a search at a resident's house, a small package of the meth was found.
