Pratikno Talks About Cabinet Reshuffle, Omicron
jpnn.com, JAKARTA - State Secretary Pratikno has responded to the rumors of an Indonesia Onward Cabinet reshuffle.
He emphasized that there had been no plan from President Joko Widodo to reshuffle the existing cabinet composition.
"So far, there has been no such plan," Pratikno told reporters at the Presidential Palace complex in Jakarta, Wednesday (12/1).
Pratikno said all ministers and deputy ministers continued to work as usual, especially with the new variant of Covid-19, Omicron, as their priority concern.
"We continue to stay vigilant since there is the Omicron Covid-19 variant, while we're reaching Christmas and New Year's holidays," he said.
Pratikno also stated that all levels of government were currently focusing on guarding the economy.
Rumors related to the cabinet reshuffle have strengthened since the meeting of coalition party officials with the President at the Palace on August 25, 2021.
The meeting was attended by the chairperson and the secretary general of the National Mandate Party (PAN), which was referred to as a new ally of Jokowi.
