Novie said that the issuance of this new regulation was to prevent the increase in the transmission of Covid-19.
"The goal is to protect us all from exposure to Covid-19. However, there are exceptions to show a vaccine card as regulated in the circular letter," he explained.
The exceptions are:
First, travelers under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a parent or family member.
Second, those who have special health conditions must attach a doctor's certificate from a government hospital, stating that they have not and/or cannot participate in the Covid-19 vaccination.
Third, flight requirements in remote, outermost, and border areas are adjusted to the conditions of each region.
Novie said that the passenger capacity for single-aisle aircraft and double aisle aircraft can exceed 70 percent.
The Ministry of Transportation has issued the latest regulation regarding flight requirements during the pandemic in Indonesia.
