In Zhejiang Province, Luhut Affirms Commitment to 'One China'
jpnn.com, CHINA - Indonesian Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Panjaitan met Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in Anji regency, Zhejiang province, China, Sunday (5/12).
Luhut said the Indonesian government expressed its sincere gratitude to the Chinese government for providing Indonesia with vaccinations, medicines, and equipment to deal with the Covid-19 pandemic, as quoted from an official Chinese broadcaster monitored by ANTARA Beijing, Monday.
On the occasion, he stated that Indonesia still adhered to the "One China" principle.
Indonesia and China, Luhut continued, were determined to accelerate the realization of projects within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and actively encourage global development initiatives.
Meanwhile, Wang Yi said that under the leadership of Chinese President Xi Jinping and Indonesian President Joko Widodo, relations between the two countries had improved significantly.
The two sides, he continued, have succeeded in implementing high-level cooperation mechanisms related to politics, economy, society, and maritime affairs.
"China will do its utmost to support Indonesia in holding the G20 Summit next year," Wang Yi said. (ant/dil/mcr20/jpnn)
