jpnn.com, JAWA TIMUR - Vanessa Angel's driver, Tubagus Joddy, has said to the police that he contacted his parent at 11.38 a.m. on Thursday (4/11), or about an hour before the fatal accident that killed Vannessa and her husband Febri "Bibi" Andriansyah.

The police have named Joddy a suspect in the accident on the Jombang toll road, East Java. Joddy has been detained by the Jombang Police.

"So, based the information we got, at 11.38 a.m., [Joddy] still had time to call his parent," East Java Police spokesman Senior Commissioner Gatot Repli Handoko said when contacted by JPNN.com, Thursday (11/11).

However, to the police, Joddy admitted that he did not play with his phone seconds leading up to the incident.

Gatot said that Joddy's confession would be compared to the results of digital forensic examination.

Joddy was charged with Article 310 paragraph (4) of Law Number 22/2009 concerning Road Traffic and Transportation, which carries a threat of six years in prison and/or a maximum fine of Rp 12 million. In addition, he was also charged with Article 311 paragraph (5) of the same law, with a maximum penalty of 12 years in prison and/or a fine of Rp 24 million. (cr3/mcr20/jpnn)
