jpnn.com, LOMBOK - The Ducati team was angry that the cargo containing their racing motorbike, the Ducati Panigale V4 R, was unboxed by an employee of the Mandalika Circuit ahead of the 2021 World Superbike Indonesia.

The event will close the races in the 13th series at the Mandalika circuit, West Nusa Tenggara.

Reported by Speedweek, Wednesday (10/11), a circulating video showed the circuit employee unboxing the cargo of a Ducati motorcycle.

Ducati officials were reportedly furious because it was done without permission.

World Superbike executive director Gregorio Lavilla immediately apologized and took a firm action.

"We sincerely apologize. This incident was beyond our control. The employee concerned has been fired," said Lavilla.
