TNI Commander Inspects Quarantine Spot for Foreign Tourists in Bali

jpnn.com, BALI - Indonesian Military (TNI) Commander Air Chief Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto has inspected a quarantine spot in Bali, which accommodates foreign tourists from 19 countries.

Together with National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, the four-star general, who is about to retire, inspected the isolation facilities for foreign tourists at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Nusa Dua.

In addition to that, the TNI Commander also examined the flow of arrivals of foreign tourists at the I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport.

Hadi was set to give directions to TNI soldiers during a ceremony in the airport area.

Previously, speaking before TNI soldiers at the 20th Raider Infantry Brigade Headquarters/Ima Jaya Keramo in Timika, Papua, Hadi called on the soldiers to always work professionally and uphold the Sapta Marga and the soldier's oath.

"[Be ready with] assignments in remote areas, the outermost islands along the coastline, and villages, face the terrorists, and treat people exposed to Covid-19 in centralized isolation spots prepared by the TNI and the National Police," Hadi said.

TNI soldiers were also responsible for educating children at the borders, he added.

"It's all on your shoulders," said the Commander.

Hadi is expected to enter his retirement in November. However, so far, the House of Representatives has not received any presidential letter from President Joko Widodo regarding the replacement of the TNI commander.

There are three chiefs of staff who are likely to be proposed by the president as candidates, namely Army Chief of Staff General Andika Perkasa, Navy Chief of Staff Admiral Yudo Margono, and Air Force Chief of Staff Fadjar Prasetyo. (between/lia/mcr20/jpnn)
