Indonesian Soccer Fans Pressured Ahead of AFF Semifinals

jpnn.com, MALAYSIA - The Indonesian national soccer team will face Singapore in the first leg of the 2020 AFF Cup semifinals at the National Stadium, Singapore, Wednesday (12/22) evening.

However, Indonesian supporters in Malaysia are feeling inner pressure as they were unable to provide direct support in Singapore due to the complicated Covid-19 travel rules.

The frontman for Indonesian supporters in Malaysia, Aditia Gilang Rhamadhani, admitted that they actually wished they could fly to Singapore to watch the game, but conditions for traveling in and out of Malaysia were complex.

"As far as I know, no one dares to leave because the costs are increasing. Maybe there are one or two people, but not in groups," he said, Wednesday (22/12) morning.

Aditia detailed that travelers must obtain a travel pass to leave or enter Malaysia. In addition, they must undergo quarantine for at least seven days.

The East Java native said he would not be surprised if they would be less people show up during the game compared to pre-Covid-19 time.
