Taiwan Beats Malaysian Duo Goh V Shem, Low Juan Shen
jpnn.com, BALI - Malaysian duo Goh V Shem and Low Juan Shen were eliminated in the first round of the 2021 Indonesia Open after being defeated by representatives from Taiwan, Lee Yang and Wang Chi-Lin.
Competing at the Bali International Convention Center, Tuesday (23/11) morning, the unseeded pair lost 14-21 and 16-21.
After the match, Goh V Shem admitted that it was difficult for him and his partner to get out of the pressure of the long-established Lee and Wang pair.
Not surprisingly, the 155th ranked doubles in the world was overwhelmed by the game of the 2020 Tokyo Olympic gold medalists.
"We got a little pressure when playing against the gold medalists. After this defeat, we will immediately evaluate our performance," said Goh V Shem.
In line with Goh, Low is also determined to make improvements so that he can maximize his performance in the upcoming tournament.
"We are a bit tired after this game. We will fix our weaknesses and prepare for some other things going forward," added Low.
This result adds to Goh and Low's minor record when competing in international tournaments.
