jpnn.com, MEDAN - An angkot (public minivan) driver in Medan, North Sumatra, jumped into the river on Jalan Jenderal Sudirman after hitting an online motorcycle taxi driver. He has turned himself in to the Medan Baru Police.

The angkot numbered 103 involved in a collision with the motorcycle taxi on Jalan S. Parman on Wednesday (22/12) evening.

The motorcycle taxi driver, Muhammad Azhari Tambunan (32), was riding a passenger, a hospital worker. He then chased after the angkot driver.

Arriving at a bridge, the angkot driver hit Azhari's motorbike, dragging the victim. As a result, Azhari suffered an injury to his leg.

"The driver got out and immediately jumped into the river," Azhari said.

He said the driver fled while the angkot was still running, with passengers inside.
