The French winger grabbed Memphis Depay's cooked pass. However, his efforts were fruitless because the ball bounced away.

Munich did not stay silent. Julian Nagelsmann's troops threatened the opponents in the 32nd minute.

Kingsley Coman's bait on the right side of the Barcelona defense was greeted by Jamal Musiala's header. Unfortunately, the ball was too weak, so it was easily secured by Barca goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen.

Continuing to lock up the Barca defense, Munich finally opened the tap on 32'. Robert Lewandowski, who escaped from Pique's control, launched a measured pass.

The ball was then met with Thomas Muller's header that thrilled Barca's net. Goal! Munich lead 1-0.

It was Muller's 50th goal in the Champions League. He became the first German player to reach this figure.

Three minutes before the dispersal, Munich doubled their advantage after Leroy Sane's shot could not be blocked by Ter Stegen. Munich was leading 2-0.

The score turned out to last until halftime.

Entering the second half, Barca played under pressure.

The hosts even increased the advantage to 3-0 through a goal scored by Jamal Musiala after maximizing Alphonso Davies' sweet pass.

After that goal, Barca failed to develop the game. Until the 80' minute, there had been no dangerous opportunity created by the Xavi Hernandez's club.

On the other hand, Munich would have added their advantage in the 87th minute if Sane's shot had not gone too far.

Until the long whistle sounded, Bayern Munich's 3-0 advantage over Barca remained.

With this result, Barcelona must be eliminated early from the Champions League because they are one point behind Benfica who occupy second place in Group E.

The Portuguese club in the last match performed well, silencing Dynamo Kyiv 2-0.

Meanwhile, Munich came out as winners of Group E after sweeping six group stage matches.

For Barca, this is the 4th time in the history of the Catalan club that they have been eliminated in the group stages of the Champions League. The first time Barcelona recorded a minor report card was in 2001/02. (mcr15/mcr20/jpnn)
