jpnn.com, TAJIKISTAN - The Indonesian U-23 national team is set to make a number of changes when competing against Nepal in a test match at Hisor Central Stadium, Tajikistan, on Friday (22/10) night.

The Indonesian team coach, Shin Tae-yong, who is a South Korean former player, assessed that the change in the composition of the players was indeed necessary to see the mentality of Garuda Muda players who had not competed against Tajikistan.

"I will rotate them during the match against Nepal in order to provide opportunities for players who have not played against Tajikistan. So, all players get experience here," he said on Friday (22/10).

That way, fans of the Indonesian national team will no longer see duo Witan Sulaeman and Bagus Kahfi playing together from the start. Likewise with goalkeeper Ernando Ari Sutaryadi.

Shin Tae-yong himself previously stated that he was not looking for the final result in the trial. However, the 52-year-old coach wanted to see how far the players could understand the tactics he set.

For the two test matches in Tajikistan, Shin Tae Yong wanted to test a certain formula before facing the Australia U-23 team in the 2022 U-23 Asian Cup Qualifiers. (etc/mcr20/jpnn)
