jpnn.com, JAKARTA - The Indonesian national soccer team has departed to Turkey to undergo a training camp until December 1, before taking part in the 2020 AFF Cup.
The team will play two test matches, one against Afghanistan (16/11) and the other against Myanmar (25/11).

In his remarks, Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) chairman Mochamad Iriawan said he targeted two wins for Indonesia in the matches.
Iriawan said the good results in Turkey would determine a smoother path to the 2020 AFF Cup.

"We are targeting two wins for the Indonesian national team in the test matches against Afghanistan and Turkey. These results will boost Indonesia's position in the FIFA standings and increase the players' confidence," he said.
Unfortunately, of the 26 players who were selected to join the training camp, one had to be removed by coach Shin Tae Yong, who was the midfielder of the Johor Darul Ta'zim club, Syahrian Abimanyu.

The 22-year-old could not go to Turkey after a hamstring injury during the training with his club on Sunday (7/11).
"We're not bringing Syahrian to Turkey because he was injured. So, we only have 25 players," said Shin.
After completing the training camp in Turkey, the Indonesian national team will immediately leave for Singapore on December 1.
