jpnn.com, PARIS - Surprise after surprise happened in the first round of the 2021 French Open.

After Anders Antonsen from Denmark was brushed off by a non-seeded player from Hong Kong, Lee Cheuk Yiu, now it's Lee Zii Jia, the world's number 8 player from Malaysia, who was defeated by number 40 player Loh Kean Yew.

In the match that took place at Stade Pierre de Coubertin, Paris, Wednesday (27/10), Lee gave up two straight games 22-24 and 14-21 to the Singaporean representative in just 39 minutes.

These results certainly make the 2021 French Open a "graveyard" for a number of top singles.
